China Eastern Airlines has opened a new Shanghai Copenhagen route.

This is the first time this SkyTeam member has flown to the capital of Denmark.

China Eastern Airlines currently operates three flights per week between Shanghai and Copenhagen, and will increase to four flights per week from September.

The airline will deploy two levels of Airbus A330-200 aircraft on this route, equipped with 2-2-2 configuration flat business class seats and 2-4-2 economy class seats.

We are pleased to see Copenhagen reconnect with the vibrant city of Shanghai, which serves as a gateway to business and leisure opportunities. This new route strengthens tourism and business connections, providing passengers with a seamless network connecting China Eastern Airlines to over 200 destinations in Asia and Australasia. In addition, passengers can also fly from Copenhagen to further destinations in Europe through Scandinavian Airlines

At the airport entrance, China Eastern Airlines, the Chinese Embassy, and airport management personnel delivered speeches to celebrate the maiden flight.

China Eastern Airlines continues to rapidly develop its intercontinental route network, including recently announcing the use of the airline's 777-300ER fleet to launch a one-stop route from Shanghai to Buenos Aires via Auckland.
